This photograph helped me to "see" the place that Owen and Ebert and Shanzenbach walked about in. Years and years ago.
From page 67 of the book: "..."There's good money in that, you know," Shanzenbach tossed his stick to the side of the road.
"In what?"
"Abandoned houses," said Shanzenbach, pointing to an old structure off to the side of the road. "Old farms.”
The three men ambled lazily in the late-afternoon shade and in the quiet of the eastern slope of Cadenet."
